What are the advantages of the INMETCO process?
Answer:
By recycling your waste through INMETCO you: (1) end your landfill liability, (2) conserve natural resources and (3) eliminate potential sources of pollution.

Question:
How can I tell if my waste may be a candidate for the INMETCO Process?
Answer:
Any waste stream containing nickel, chromium, iron, molybdenum and cadmium could be considered acceptable since each waste stream is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Approximate feed specifications for liquid and solids are listed below.

Question:
What do I have to do to get started?
Answer:
In order to determine whether a material can be processed by INMETCO a completed INMETCO Customer Profile Sheet and representative sample of the material are required -- one pound of a solid, sixteen ounces of a liquid. There is a one-time, analytical pre-screen charge of $150.00 per sample. There is a $50.00 discount if a check accompanies the sample and profile sheet. Samples, profile sheets and pre-screen fee should be sent to: INMETCO Laboratory, One INMETCO Drive, Ellwood City, PA 16117. This procedure applies to all materials except batteries. Question:
What types of batteries are accepted by INMETCO?
Answer:
Types of batteries accepted by INMETCO include: nickel cadmium, nickel-iron, nickel metal hydride, lithium ion and mercury-free zinc carbon (also know as Carbonaire) alkaline, sealed lead acid, and silver oxide.

Question:
In what packaging does INMETCO accept material?
Answer:
INMETCO accepts material packaged in drums, sacks or boxes that are secured to a pallet; bulk tanker loads of waste liquids, dump truck loads and roll-off boxes of solids and pneumatically delivered dusts. Industrial batteries may be delivered strapped or secured to a pallet.
